  • Barung Sword

    A very solid 20th century Barong from Southern Philippines. The burl wood pommel shows great patina with beautiful carvings and a silver collar. A clean forged blade that shows hardening throughout the blade. The scabbard is in fine condition with some rattan wrapping missing, turtle shell decoration, and beautiful carved details. Overall a very solid and heavy barong.

  • Kampilan Sword

    A very nice 19th century Kampilan from the Southern Philippines. The hilt exhibits a very beautiful okil/okir motif carvings on both the sampok/ampa (Mag’/Mar’) or guard and the sundi/sooang (Mag’/Mar’) or pommel and a full rattan wrapping. There is a single iron staple on the guard that serves a protection to the users knuckle. The tungo/bakukum (Mag’/Mar’) or blade is beautifully forged that shows some hardening on the galngan/garanang (Mag’/Mar’) or edge and silver inlays on the mudchong/sokot (Mag’/Mar’) or tip of the blade.

  • Kris Sword

    Late 19th century half-waved Kris or in the three major dialects of Mindanao Luma/Ranti/Kalis Taluseko (Mag’/Mar’/Tau’) from the southern Philippines. The blade shows some patterning throughout the tungo/bakukum/tiuwang (Mag’/Mar’/Tau’) or blade on both side. Two different types of asang-asang/baca-baca (Mag’/Tau’)/(Mar’) or stirrup one of a steel and the other pure copper that securely holds the blade in place. Beautiful craftsmanship on the gangya/sampir/katik (Mag’/Mar’/Tau’) or guard that showcases intricate designs by the artisan. The ulu-ulu/sooang/puhan (Mag’/Mar’/Tau’) or hilt consist of a silver ferrule and wrapped with jute or twine made from natural plant fibers. It is missing a band unfortunately. A very nice cockatoo head shape pommel made out of bunti wood.
