On February 16, 2019 Bayani Art workshop coordinator, Robin Aquilizan, facilitated a history workshop for the Philippine National Day Association. The workshop was given to PNDA’s Filipino American Mentorship Program also known as FAM. The purpose of FAM is to connect people and build a network amongst the Filipino community while also offering support to high school and college students. The workshop was held in Sacramento, California. In the workshop, the participants broke down the long story of resilience in Philippine history. Participants learned about the great Lapu Lapu, the I-Hotel, Andres Bonifacio, the Katipunan, Gabriela Silang, and other revolutionaries who contributed largely to Philippine history.
