On August 5th, 2021 we hosted a Bayani book reading and history workshop at a summer camp in Daly City hosted by Eskabo Daan. We worked with youth from ages 6 to 16. The week long summer camp provided CPR and first aid training as well as workshops on Filipino martial arts, culture, and history. After the book reading, the young folks drew out who their bayani is and share with the group. It was a pleasure working with Guro Joseph Bautista of Eskabo Daan and their youth, especially after months of being quarantined and we’re looking forward to future collaborations with them.
