On Sunday April 2nd, Bayani Art attended Sayaw: Pilipinx Folk Dance Summit And PCN Showcase. The goal of Sayaw is to connect the young Filipino generation to their roots and to empower them to be leaders in the Filipino community. This conference was presented by The Filipino American Arts Exposition, and hosted by CSUEB’s PASA and SFSU’s PACE. The conference included cultural performances, dance workshops, and panel presentations. Sayaw brought together several Filipino student organizations from colleges across Northern California such as San Francisco State’s Pilipino American Collegiate Endeavor, UC Davis’ Mga Kapatid, Sacramento State’s Samahang Pilpino, and many other different student-led organizations.
