Mandaya Shield Wooden Pin
$12.00Mandaya shield is a large, round wooden Moro shield. The front is decorated with rings of black and of elaborate carving while the back has a hand hold through which the left arm is slipped so that the hand grasps the top of the second opening. This shield is used in warfare to deflect spears and arrows. This style of shield is also commonly used by the neighboring Moro groups, and may have been borrow from them.
This Shield is dedicated to the warriors who had fought and died during this time to defend the mother land from its oppressors.
