Bayani Art supported the event held by Filipino Heritage Studies called Transcendence: Kasama. Filipino Heritage Studies is a class at James Logan High School taught by Ivan Santos. The class wanted to educate their community on everything they’ve learned throughout the year. They created various performances such as songs, skits, dances, and spoken word pieces to fit into their theme, solidarity. The show taught the importance of solidarity to the Filipino community back in the 1500’s to today. All product sales went towards Salugpongan, an organization dedicated to protect their ancestral land, empower communities, and educate the youth in Mindanao, Philippines.
